The Haida tribe is located to the Northwest Coast. The Haida language is spoken by the Haida of Haida Gwaii and the Haida that lived along the coast of Alaska. The Haida believed in medicine. They thought singing and dancing made people well.
The Haida tribe ate fish, beaver, birds, bear, corn, and clams. The men hunted the food. They used spears to kill the bears. They had a lot of fish because they were near the sea. The girls cooked the food to eat.
The Haida tribe lived on the Northwest coast. The Haida lived in plank houses that were very large. The totem poles were put in front of their plank houses and to tell stories. The Haida lived near many trees so they could use the wood to carve totem poles.
